The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join our Fast growing and innovative business. The role indicates a higher level of experience and practical application of accounting principles than that of an assistant or junior accountant.

Clients are AU family businesses and range from micro-businesses to $80m manufacturing firms
18 staff across various locations in AU and the Philippines
We expect to be listed on AFR Top 100 within 12 - 18 months
Adopting corporate model with flat org chart as opposed to traditional partner model to provide greater career opportunities within the business
Fully in the cloud, strong focus on utilising technology and implementing process automation

About the role
Your key responsibilities will include:
Obtain an understanding of selected client's businesses
Assisting clients with bookkeeping issues as they arise from time to time
Attend daily 'team huddle' meeting to align the team with current priorities
Coordinate with team members to ensure good workflow across the company
Work with advisory tools to prepare regular advisory reports
Work with Xero ledgers to complete statutory reporting
Assist in preparation of budgets and forecasts for clients
Prepare annual tax returns for companies, trusts & partnerships
Liaise with clients regarding queries relating to the preparation of their reports
Assist the Principal in additional reporting and analysis required from time to time
Use of FYI Docs for workflow and task management
Contribute proactively to the continuous improvement of Incra
Prepare quarterly reports for selected clients, including full balance sheet reconciliation
Process monthly close and reporting for selected clients
Prepare monthly/quarterly BAS for clients
Prepare annual tax returns for individuals
What we're looking for
To join us, you should have the following skills and experience:
Accounting Degree / Certificate / Diploma highly regarded.
Experience in a public practice environment highly regarded
Ability to handle the end-to-end preparation of financial statements for trading groups, including inter-entity transactions, managing HP schedules, preparation of profit overview, etc
Communication of key issues with stakeholders
Advanced proficiency in Word & Excel.
Exposure to Accounting Practice Management Software
Exposure to a variety of client-operated accounting systems (Xero, MYOB, Quickbooks, Sage, Netsuite, Exo, J-Curve)
