Position Summary:
We are in search of an intellectually curious and highly skilled Senior Accountant to be a pivotal member of our rapidly expanding Accounting Team. This position is instrumental in our day-to-day accounting functions and offers exposure to a wide array of accounting activities. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, and in close collaboration with the VP of Finance, CFO, and other senior business stakeholders, the role presents an exceptional opportunity to play an integral part in scaling our accounting and finance practices as we lay the groundwork for an eventual IPO.

Responsibilities:
● Month-End Close Activities: Manage key components of month-end close, including revenue recognition, expense accruals, bank reconciliations, and intercompany transactions. Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations meticulously. Also aid in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
● Accounts Payable Management: Efficiently manage bills within the AP system, while accurately coding and categorizing expenses and invoices.
● Payment Authorization: Prepare bank payments according to the relevant approval matrix to safeguard company assets.
● Payroll and Tax Management: Assist in payroll calculation, tax filing preparations, and ensure timely payments. Policy Documentation: Maintain a well-documented system of accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
● Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Partner with internal departments to gather information related to the accounting process, especially during month-end close.
● Process Improvement: Spearhead ongoing improvements in financial operations and execute new process implementations.
● Audit Assistance: Participate in the annual audit process, ensuring all financial records are in compliance with laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
● A bachelor's degree in accounting is essential.
● At least 5 years of industry accounting experience is required.
● Solid understanding of accounting concepts and familiarity with accounting systems and general operational processes. Experience in US Accounting is a must.
● Proficient in managing large data sets in Excel, with the ability to perform complex analysis presented in a clear and structured format.
● Exceptional problem-solving abilities, including the capacity to troubleshoot independently and make well-considered recommendations.
● Experience with Netsuite is a significant advantage.
● CPA or progress towards CPA is a plus.
