An exciting Senior Accountant - Tax job has become available at a global shared services company based in Makati City.
About the Senior Accountant - Tax Role:
Reporting directly to the Team Leader, you will be in charge of review and preparation of tax returns and required corporate and management reports.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation, completion and delivery of statutory requirements and other controlling reports in accordance with IFRS (or relevant GAAP) and/or relevant company standards
Preparation and review tax returns and required corporate and management reports for the customer division/office, in accordance with internal and external reporting procedures
Review and implementation of the company's policies and procedures, IFRS or the applicable GAAP and ensure timely filing and payment of relevant tax returns
Handle queries from BIR and other government regulatory agencies
Facilitate regular stakeholder communication and always at the forefront to resolve complaints and escalations
Handle queries from counterparts and within GSSC
Act as a subject matter expert; troubleshoot issues as well as train and guide junior staff in the processes
To succeed in this role, you must have at least four years of work experience with a minimum of two years of relevant payroll experience in a multinational BPO/global shared services environment.
Key Requirements:
CPA is a must
Hands-on experience in taxation (e.g. tax advisory, tax consultancy, tax review)
Exposure in global tax laws; exposure to Australia/UK/HK tax is an advantage
Articulate and able to communicate effectively
Strong analytical skills and organisational skills
Able to work under pressure
