Position Responsibilities
Manage endpoint security tools such as; Cisco FTD, Crowdstrike, Nexpose across multiple environments, including remote users, regional data centers, and cloud environments.
Work with IT groups to resolve issues on security systems such as endpoint protection, IPS, firewalls and network devices
Review and manage security firewall policies, Cisco Umbrella in coordination with the Network Engineering team
Perform upgrades of crucial network security infrastructure such as IPS
Ensure vulnerability management tools and scans are performed effectively, investigate, and resolve issues with the vulnerability management tools and programs. Nexpose and open source
Monitor and assess IPS events and traffic profiles, respond to requests from IT Engineering to integrate an effective policy across hosts and virtual environments
Validate secure configuration and system hardening according to CIS
Work across IT teams to provide technical security support as needed in support of security and IT incidents including responding to escalated incidents
O365 Security and Compliance
The position will work closely with Deltek staff in the US and EU
Support 24x7 security operations as needed.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience Required IT Security: 2 years
Solid understanding of security concepts, principles, and practices
Progressive experience with network and or host security in a commercial organization
Professional certification, CEH, SANS GSEC, GCED, GCWN or similar, required
Technical Knowledge & Skills:
General: Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
Hands-on experience with host and network IPS, network and application firewalls, network segmentation, DMZs, NAC, CDN.
Proven experience with Windows environments - AD, domains, ADFS, GPO, 2FA and threats to these systems
Hands-on experience with installation, configuration, troubleshooting and administration of Microsoft and Linux operating systems, hardware and virtualized
Experience with endpoint security software and encryption products
Ability to effectively execute security mitigations and implement controls at-scale
Customer service skills, can-do attitude
Ability to perform after hours, shift work, and be accessible during designated periods when offsite.
