Develop, monitor, and report on platform and service metrics
Design and delivery execution of stand-alone and distributed applications across the entire stack that enable data security.
Design and integration of tools that enable identification of data that is insecurely stored and enable developers to identify data security pitfalls.
Partner with other stakeholders to help improve data security tools and processes.
Ingest and enrich data from a various sources and make it available for analytics.
Design and develop dashboards that enable 360 view of data security posture.
Aggregate information from various data security streams and provides state-of-the-art metrics that are transparent, reliable and reflect ground-reality of the various data security controls.
Represent team as a subject matter expert at meetings, as needed
Information Security Data Engineer Requirements
Education and Experience
Degree in Computer Science or other related field or equivalent work experience
1 - 3 years of related work experience
Knowledge and Skills
Must be amenable to work on NIGHT SHIFT
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Good understanding of REST-oriented APIs, understanding of distributed systems, data streaming, NoSQL solutions for creating and managing data integration pipelines for Batch and Real Time Data needs
Strong real-world experience with one or more of the following technologies at scale is required:
Stream Processing ecosystem (e.g. Kafka, Storm, Kinesis)
Solid data mining and machine learning expertise is a plus, DB/data warehouse expertise desired
Attention to detail in a well-controlled environment
Knowledge of message logging (Splunk,SysLog, ELK)
Knowledge of various operating systems (Windows, Linux)
Knowledge of scripting and automation (Jenkins, Git, Python,PHP)
Knowledge of various programming languages (Hadoop, Big Data, Pig, Impala, Hive)
Experience with integration of data from multiple data sources
Good understanding of basic statics and Machine Learning technique
Tableau experience is plus
Knowledge of SQL is required
Knowledge of Microsoft SSIS is plus
Familiarity with highly-available architectures and technologies
Familiarity with various networking protocols
Familiarity with regular expressions
