Wells Fargo Advisors team is responsible for the processing of Power of Attorney (POA) requests that are completed by the WFA brokerage client and received through the branch offices.
High-level steps:
The POA team will receive POA requests through the WISDOM workflow tool; This team will support the following processes:
Review POA
Compare POA against state required guidelines
Complete the associated persons on specific POA
Update authorization on POA via BETA (SOR)
Work with Legal and/or IRA for direction on specific types of POA requests
Review Elder Client Initiative Group (ECI) insure there are no impacts to POA request
Work with ECI if POA is impacted
Work with branch to communicate updates, issues, etc.
Approve or reject POA request via BETA (SOR)
About the Role
Internally known as Securities Operations Service Spec. 4, this role will perform a variety of operational tasks for highly complex securities or cash related transactions or processes that require expert knowledge of unit functions and systems. Duties may include: differentiating, processing, and reconciling transactions; and performing a variety of balancing tasks; Able to handle critical production or escalation issues; Act as liaison to other internal departments, including technology groups and external sources; Provides department level reporting using multiple sources; May create and/or maintain databases; May define user requirements and contribute to production and workflow improvements; and create or revise departmental procedures; Provides training or work direction for staff; Provides back-up for numerous department functions; May lead and/or participate in department projects; May address compliance and corporate governance issues for the department; May have extensive customer contact; Works under minimal supervision with some degree of independence.

Analyst should have strong accounting Knowledge
Knowledge on Securities/Financial Markets
Good problem solving, analytical skills and numerical skills
Typing Skills / Good Communication (Read / Write / Speak)
Should be willing/flexible to work in rotational shifts or night shifts if required.
Desirable to have experience of interacting with US customers.
May create and/or maintain databases
Secondary (20% of the time)
Be a part of key initiatives at a process level
Find opportunities to improve current process
Work on self development
To be able to identify at least one value addition to the process
Provides department level reporting using multiple sources
Reviewing time sensitive and/or complex documents; creating or revising departmental procedures.
Act as liaison to other internal departments, including technology groups and external sources
Market Skills and Certifications
Completed 2nd year in College (Bachelor's Degree course) / Completed 2 or 3 year Associate Degree courses
4 to 6 years relevant work experience
Financial services related certification/Mutual Fund/Financial Market Courses will be a plus point
Knowledge on Securities/Financial Markets or experience handling highly regulated process or function (ex. payments processing, fraud investigation)
Good problem solving, analytical skills and numerical skills
Typing Skills / Good Communication (Read / Write / Speak)
