Responsible for using a variety of techniques to create three-dimensional objects, including carving, shaping, sanding, painting. Materials used in sculpting polystyrene foam.
Primary Responsibilities
Model three-dimensional characters in polystyrene foam.
Utilize tools to create objects.
Cut and carve images out of blocks of foam.
Reference lifelike or living models while creating object.
Refer to photographs for inspiration.
Use filler to shape objects.
Use protective coating to harden the surface of foam.
Select materials for new projects.
