Science Tutor for High School Students (Remote)
Pay Rate: $6 USD/hr
Are you passionate about Science and dedicated to helping students succeed? We are currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Science Tutor to join our team. As a Science Tutor, you will work with high school students to provide exceptional instruction as they progress through their Science curriculum. The ideal candidate is not only exceptional in Science but also possesses a student-oriented, patient, and organized approach to tutoring.
Responsibilities:
Online Tutoring: Utilize our platform to assist students with immediate help in Science, including homework and classroom exercises.
Problem-Solving Guidance: Walk students through Science problem-solving steps to ensure comprehension and desired results.
Support Network: Be part of a teacher/tutor network, providing help desk-style support to numerous students.
Student-Focused: Maintain a present and approachable demeanor to provide academic support at all times.
Online Teaching: Conduct tutoring sessions using an online whiteboard and virtual classroom confidently.
Empathy and Patience: Exhibit kindness and patience when working with struggling students to create a comfortable environment for seeking assistance.
Requirements
Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree in Science or related field.
Valid NBO Clearance
Experience: At least 1 year of tutoring or teaching experience in general Science, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, Physics, and Health for high school students.
Internet Connection/Computer: Strong and reliable internet connection with an up-to-date computer and operating system.
Language: Required Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Preferred fluent in both English and Spanish.
Online Proficiency: Online tutoring experience is highly beneficial.
Availability: Ability to work when the program is offered, which is Monday to Friday between 7:30 pm and 5:30 am PH Time. You can choose the days/times you work.
