Duties and Responsibilities:
Knowledge of childhood growth and development, community and family dynamics, current health issues and wellness education
Provides professional nursing services, first aid, illness and emergency care to students and employee (e.g. CPR)
Provide and document nursing assessment, diagnosis, and treatment
Annual inventory, requesting and management of medical supply
Arrange the logistics and coordination for regular dental, hearing, and vision screenings for students
Provides students and staffs with updated information on health issues
Spearhead Emergency Drill for disaster management and annual update of the Emergency Response Manual
Participate in comprehensive health education programs and school health policy development
Identifies health problems, make referrals for diagnosis and treatment, provide follow-up and evaluation and maintains appropriate documentation
Monitors and follows all aspects of dispensing medication (prescription or over-the-counter) to students at school, according to school protocol and policies and procedures to include proper provider authorization, parental request, proper administration, and timely documentation
Maintain and ensure the confidentiality of, complete up-to-date student health records
Fulfill DOH and DepEd requirements and network policies for communicable disease control
Initiates, collaborate, and conduct medical annual check for all employees
Develops and maintains contacts with medical persons or facilities that might provide direct service or consultation and update existing tie up with other medical hospitals
Participate in medical mission conducted by the school
Make summative reports on medical related activities of school for accreditation purposes
