SAMPLE PROCESS ENGINEER
 
To successfully push forward in this challenging business, we are looking for a competent Sampling Process Engineer to strengthen our Sample department. Your main task will be to document scalable processes based on input from R&D and our sample making team and provide these processes to production to meet the high-end requirements of our customers.
 
A solid understanding of the technical aspects and requirements of manufacturing processes in the furniture industry are the cornerstone for this position.
Job description     
Create, maintain, and update standard sample processes for customized samples.
Translate customization requests into executable sample manufacturing processes.
Coordinate with R&D, Engineering, and Production departments for new and updated process descriptions.
Understand standard processes and recognize process deviations.
Instruct sample operators on process requirements, prioritize sample orders within the team, and monitor sample making on the production floor.
Track budgets of individual sample orders and report reasons for variances.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor graduate in Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, or related course.
At least 3 years work experience in process development and manufacturing engineering, preferably within the furniture industry.
Strong knowledge of technical aspects of furniture production, process development and process improvement.
Process-oriented thinking with experience in documentation, continuous improvement, process standardization, and creating work instructions.
Able to give instructions and coordinate a team of operators.
Able to read blueprints, drawings and sketches, AutoCAD knowledge is a plus.
Eye and mindset for product quality.
Good knowledge of English.
Experience working in an ISO 9001 regulated environment and knowledge of costing desirable.
