About the Role
The Technical Architect - Salesforce will be engaged to develop complex software solutions requiring the use and application of advanced programming knowledge to achieve defined outcomes for Datacom's Salesforce customers. At times this role will be directly customer-facing, consulting proactively to gain an understanding of customer needs in collaboration with other Datacom Consultants or third-parties. This role calls for a strong technical competency and experience in the implementation process. You will provide a high level of technical expertise to our customers, supporting the deployment of Salesforce into their business and applying your skills to design and develop solutions to match requirements as well as resolving issues and problem-solving. You will also be required to adhere to Datacom's project management methodology. You must be capable of working with minimal supervision and building relationships with peers and management.
What you'll do: * Have the ability to apply your deep understanding of the Salesforce application and architecture to design, develop and support custom solutions that extend the capability of the standard application whilst remaining within best practice Salesforce development guidelines.
Deliver cost effective specifications and designs that add value.
Develop technical documentation outlining solutions to client needs.
Meet utilisation targets as specified and work to time constraints and effort estimates.
Maintain technical knowledge, including Certifications to ensure that your skills stay abreast of software updates.
Display technical excellence during all facets of each engagement.
Display a high level of operational discipline, ensuring Datacom and client processes are followed and adhered to.
Follow and adhere to Datacom methodology, policies and procedures.
Ensuring your staff resume is updated bi-annually to reflect most recent experience.
Ensure your timesheets are submitted within the required delivery times and to the required level of detail and ensure that time booked to projects is as agreed with the project manager.
Requirements
What you'll bring
We would expect you to have a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Salesforce delivery management, business analysis, and technology implementation. You'll ideally have come from an ICT professional services business in a customer-facing role.
You will be able to demonstrate the below:
Minimum of 5 years developing custom solutions within Salesforce toolset
Minimum of 5 years professional services experience within a recognized Salesforce Partner
Proficiency in programming using Salesforce SFDC, Force.com, Java, JavaScript, and XML and their use in the development of Salesforce solutions
Strong experience with configuration, customization, programming with APEX APIs, APEX Triggers, Lightning Components, and implementing new instances of Salesforce from scratch
Strong practical deployment knowledge of VisualForce, Flex, Salesforce configurations, Apex classes, APEX Web services, API, AppExchange deployment, and Salesforce controls
Ability to define the system landscape, identify gaps between current and desired end-states, and deliver a Salesforce solution
Effective communication skills
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
