This role will champion driving a data-driven culture in the Sales organization leveraging metrics, KPIs, Strategic Analysis on sales performance and trends along with supporting the optimization of sales efficiency with analytics to identify opportunities, support improvements in the processes and make systematic enhancements which will resolve operational inconsistencies and bottlenecks that are slowing down the sales team. Finding solutions to these issues can be challenging, often requiring innovative thinking on producing the right kind of data for review.
This role will interact with other various teams including marketing, channel operations, deal desk, business systems, and finance. Responsibilities also involve supporting key sales planning and processes, including strategic planning/business planning. The role requires the following capabilities: excellent communication skills, especially the ability to respectfully challenge and influence; strong problem solving/analytical skills, strong data management skills, and business acumen.
Key Responsibilities:
Extracting datasets from various data silos to mesh together and create meaningful data insights
Apply quantitative and qualitative analysis and data visualization to tell the story behind the numbers
Ability to create, understand and deliver quality audience-appropriate communication
Develop and maintain sales analytics reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights that support data-driven decision-making for the sales and sales leadership teams
Support worldwide sales organization with Salesforce reporting, dashboards, metrics, and KPIs
Support weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales analytics need for the business
Own Sales reporting and KPI automation
Proactively manage the planning and forecasting processes across the Sales organization
Deliver monthly/quarterly quantitative and qualitative analysis of the business' financial results including variances to plan, ensuring key issues, risks, and business drivers are understood and highlighted
Meet deliverables and requests from business partners, corporate FP&A, accounting, and other cross-functional teams
Engage and work with aligned operations teams and lines of business to more effectively achieve data needs and analysis results
Drive process improvement and manage all aspects of Salesforce CRM including workflow, reporting, data integrity and maintenance
Optimize sales and operational efficiency through innovative thinking, process improvement and system enhancements and best practice sharing
Apply data cleansing techniques to improve the quality and accuracy of contacts and accounts databases and develop processes to maintain them
Any other fair and reasonable task or duty assigned to you by your Manager, or other senior 8x8 staff member
Key Requirements:
Minimum of 3 year experience in an analytical, sales operations and/or operation role within Sales, Sales Operations, Finance or Strategy
Experience with business intelligence and analytical software a plus (e.g. Tableau, Looker, Tableau CRM )
Proficient in Salesforce.com, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office Applications
Expertise in Excel modelling and Salesforce.com reporting must; Tableau know-how preferred
Experience in developing, building and delivering quantitative metrics
Experience working successfully in a fast-paced environment
An excellent communicator
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
Work to time constraints whilst maintaining a high level of attention to detail; prioritise tasks and set expectations accordingly, especially under pressure
Well organised and a self-motivated team player
Nice to Have:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferably in Business, Sales, Marketing, Finance, or a related field
Understanding of Value Driven Sales Methodology
Previously worked in the Software, Telecommunications, Managed Services, Cloud Services, or Hosted Telephony environments
