Join us as a Sales Delegate assigned to our Australian-based client, one of Australia's leading event organisers delivering consumer (B2C) and trade (B2B) events for multiple industries across the country, with events that include Oz Comic-Con, the Craft & Quilt Fairs, International Jewellery Fair, Gift & Lifestyle Fairs to name a few.
About You
You will focus on lead generation, researching prospective companies to sell to, setting appointments, and cleaning existing databases. You have strong English skills, be eager to deliver results and be able to effectively work through locating target businesses, qualifying interests and passing sales opportunities through to the team. Your day will involve a mix of calling prospective clients to gauge interest in booking, calling to qualify their contact information, researching contact information, and updating existing databases. It will vary across multiple events and industries.
Roles and Responsibilities
Perform updates and research to ensure the current database is accurate and up to date
Prospect for new businesses, ascertain lists or qualify their contact information as required
Calling businesses to assess interest in attending events before being able to pass the lead through to our team
Maintain CRM and database records to ensure accuracy and effective marketing
Populate and manage event pipelines for events assisting in providing accurate forecasting and projections
Requirements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Previous sales (particularly telesales) experience valued
Previous experience with a CRM is valued
Experience within events performing similar work is valued
