Our company is a seafood manufacturing and exporting firm located at Mactan Economic Zone 1, Brgy. Ibo, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, Philippines. We manufacture pasteurized canned crab meat, frozen tuna, block frozen shrimps, cooked sliced octopus, & other seafood products to US, Europe, and Asian markets.

SAFETY OFFICER
 
Job Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures in accordance with local laws and regulations.
Conduct regular safety inspection and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend appropriate safety measures.
Organize and conduct safety training programs for employees to promote awareness and safety practices.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Ensure compliance with local and national safety regulations, including those set by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
Develop and implement emergency response plans, conduct drills, and ensure that all employees are familiar with procedures.
Prepare and submit safety reports and documentation as required by management and regulatory authorities.
Ensure the proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment.
Promote a culture of safety within the organization by encouraging feedback and suggesting improvements to safety practices.
Qualifications:
Graduate of engineering courses is a plus.
Has Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) 2 preferred
Familiarity with local and international safety standards, regulations, and best practices.
Has strong ability to assess workplace hazards and develop effective safety measures.
Can identify safety issues and implement effective solutions.
Keen attention to detail to ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
Has excellent verbal and written communication skills
