DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
a. Enhances company safety policies and procedures.
b. Conduct safety audits and hazard analyses.
c. Organizes the Emergency Response Team of the company and develops and updates emergency response plans.
d. Conducts safety training, orientation & disaster preparedness to all employees.
e. Conducts fire drills.
f. Ensures the workforce is updated with the latest safety practices and standards.
g. Prepares and submits reportorial requirements.
h. Investigates cases involving safety.
i. Ensures that safety equipment is calibrated, tested, and maintained according to standards.
j. Collaborates with other departments to integrate safety measures into their operations.
JOB SUMMARY:
The safety officer ensures that the company adheres to safety regulations set by the Department of Labor & Employment and by the Department of Health. He/she provides safety management, policy development, training and incident investigations.
