ROVING ENGINEER
A Roving Engineer provides engineering support across vessels, shipyards, or facilities. Duties include monitoring operations, tank sounding, vessel inspections, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and guiding mechanics/welders.
QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering (N.A.M.E.) or Marine Engineering
Preferably a Licensed Engineer (OIC)
With at least 2 to 4 years of relevant experience
Responsibilities:
Evaluate and inspect vessel's seaworthiness
Monitoring vessel's fuel oil and lube oil sounding and repair.
Monitoring and compiling of vessel maintenance reports and preventive maintenance schedule.
Produce and submit necessary documents for marine inspection.
Conduct orientation for sea-based employees.
To investigate and report infractions of all sea-based employees
Conduct safety orientation for sea-based employees regarding MARPOL and SOLAS.
