Job Description
The Responsibilities associated with this position include:
Risk Management
Identify the risk exposures of the company through:
Discussions with relevant parties;
Plant/risk surveys, if necessary;
Analysis of losses incurred by the group and its units;
Review and analysis of relevant company transactions, information databases and other sources of information.
Measure and prioritize/rank the identified risk exposures either through quantitative or qualitative methods
Develop/implement/update risk treatment methods such as risk retention and loss control / prevention programs, policies / guidelines, alternative risk transfer methods, etc.
Identify appropriate risk financing techniques for those risks that cannot be retained, transferred or controlled
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk management programs utilized.
Develop and maintain a loss monitoring system, which shall include databases and report escalation procedures.
Present and prepare report on the status of various exposures being faced by the Group including effectiveness of programs implemented and compliance by the various units.
Insurance/Claims Management
Coordinate with the operating units to determine the appropriate insurance cover requirements of the company;
Administer/manage loss and claim activities to maximize recoveries from insurers at the most efficient time;
Analyze and periodically review all insurance policies and endorsements for further enhancements in coverage terms and conditions
Prepare periodic loss reports.

Abide by and perform to the best of his abilities all functions, duties and responsibilities to be assigned by the Company in due course.
Assist in the implementation of Integrated Management Systems (Quality, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental, and Asset) and compliance to regulatory requirements
Participate in the different programs of the organization
Comply with the orders and instructions given from time to time by the Company through its authorized representatives
Perform any other administrative or non-administrative duties assigned by an authorized representative of the Company from time to time either through direct written order or by oral assignment.
Position Requirements
Skills:
Experienced in risk management-related functions, including insurance program and claims management
Good communication skills both oral and written
Excellent negotiation skills
Minimum 1 year experience in the insurance or related field especially in administering claims and insurance programs
Ability to work under extreme pressure
Experience:
Risk management, insurance and claims management
Exposure in power plant operation (preferred)
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (licensed engineer preferred but not required)
