The Role
As a Risk Governance Officer, you will be responsible in assisting the Secretariat of the different Risk Committees and ensure scheduling, agenda, presentation materials and minutes of meetings are captured accurately. Ensure that risk management policies and implementing guidelines are up to date.
Maintain and ensure up to date outsourcing database, outsourcing contracts and administrative assignments assigned from time to time.
How you will contribute
Assist the Secretariat of the Outsourcing, Operational Risk Forum and Risk Oversight Committees
Prepare agenda, collate information packs, schedule meetings, and capture accurate minutes of meetings for the different risk governance committees and forum
Monitor action items raised in the different Committees/Forum and ensure target completion date for any actions are met
Maintain and ensure up to date outsourcing databases, outsourcing contracts
Monitor and ensure timely review/update of risk management policies and implementing guidelines by the respective AGO's and Dept. Head
Assist the different risk teams (Credit Risk, Ops Risk) in terms of on-boarding requirements such as user access, laptop requests etc.
Assist the Operational Risk Manager in monitoring open audit items and follow through actions that are beyond the target completion date
Assist in disseminating and explaining new operational risk issuances and initiates meetings with concerned units to address possible issues/concerns that may be raised during their implementation
Perform administrative activities required by the Chief Risk officer and Operational Risk Head, as it arise
What we're looking for
Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management/Finance/Accounting/Banking
Atleast 5 yrs relevant experience
Proficiency in Microsoft office for Windows is required
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to adjust and interact with all levels of personnel
Ability to multi-task, organize, set priorities and meet deadlines and take pride in one's work.
Excellent eye for details
Strong time management skills.
Must have good critical thinking skills and exercise sound judgement
Knowledgeable in various bank and government policies and regulations on consumer loans
Direct experience in audit, compliance, committee secretary, or operational risk is a plus
