Job Description (Role Profile)
JOB SUMMARY Avid Technology is looking for a Revenue Recognition Accountant that will be located in Manila, Philippines to join our Global Finance and Accounting team with Worldwide Headquarters in Burlington, MA. This is a terrific opportunity for a finance professional to join a leading media and entertainment technology organization. This position reports directly to the Revenue Recognition Manager (based in Burlington, MA) and will support Eastern Standard Time.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Preparation of technical write-ups and review of commercial sales contracts, identifying non-standard terms, to support compliance with applicable authoritative literature
Review and analyze transaction data processed through the Company's Revenue Recognition system
Monthly and quarterly close activities, revenue accounting entries, analyses, and balance sheet reconciliations
Responsible for the preparation, documentation and management of certain key internal controls to ensure SOX compliance
Support quarterly internal and external audit activities and audit preparation
Review and analysis of pricing and SSP
Provide Senior Management with financial reporting information and operational support
Adhere to accounting policies and procedures and additional ad hoc activities as needed
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
2 to 4 years "Big Four" Public Accountant experience, CPA preferred
ERP System skills including SAP/Domo systems, preferred
Strong operational, organization, and analytical skills required
Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines of a publicly traded company
Advanced Microsoft Office skills required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
