Position: Revenue Analyst
Location: Manila, Philippines
Summary of the Position
:
The Revenue Analyst will be responsible for tasks related to all workstreams' (Cloud, On Prem, Term License, Maintenance and PS) revenue recognition.
The individual will be instrumental in ensuring the accurate reporting of revenue and accounting data as part of the monthly revenue close process. The Revenue Analyst will assist in the coordination, accounting and review of sales related transactions.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Review/approve sales orders based on company policy. Advise sales and finance operations teams of any inconsistencies against policy and recommend corrective action.
Assist with the review of sales opportunities, contracts and non-standard transactions - apply knowledge of ASC 606 to the review of order documents and agreements and ensure compliance with Genesys' revenue recognition guidelines.
Ensure GAAP compliance across all functions in the order to cash cycle.
Prepare analysis and journal entries as necessary to support the month end close process.
Work with external audit directly on an interim and annual basis for the compliance reviews and annual audit.
Assist with the updating of internal controls for the order to cash cycle and related SOX compliance process.
Proactively initiate, develop, and maintain effective working relationships with various cross functional teams across the company.
Participate in cross functional project initiatives that will streamline the order to cash process.
Prepare ad hoc analysis, when needed.
Qualifications (knowledge, skills, abilities)
:
Highly organized, with great attention to detail
Ability to interact effectively with sales and product teams, functional peer groups and subordinates and to gain cooperation from others, especially those in other departments, as well as with outside auditors and outside legal counsel
Confidence and proven record to communicate both orally and written, including the dissemination of technical information
Ability to work independently and take ownership of multiple concurrent and diversified tasks, while working with deadlines
Requirements (Education, Certification, Training, and Experience)
:
Minimum 2-3 years of related
Revenue Recognition
experience or Big4 Experience
Experience with software clients and/or industry with revenue background
Working knowledge of Software Revenue Recognitions Accounting - Familiarity with ASC 985-605 (formerly SOP 97-2), ASU 2009-13 (formerly EITF 08-1) and ASU 2009-14 (formerly EITF 09-3); ASC 606
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related required
CPA or MBA preferred.
Good communications skills required.
Experience using Salesforce.com, RevPro and NetSuite a plus
Prior experience with SaaS company is a plus
Preferred

Super user in Excel, ADVANCED (Pivoting, VLOOKUP)
Problem solver: Candidate should be a strong, analytical problem solver with a common sense and practical solutions orientation
