We are looking for a results-driven restaurant manager to meet sales goals by hiring and training competent staff, overseeing kitchen operations, and motivating staff during busy hours. Restaurant managers are also responsible for making needed changes to the menu, ordering ingredients for the kitchen staff, and gathering feedback from customers.
To be successful as a restaurant manager you must have excellent interpersonal skills as well as experience in a restaurant environment. A good restaurant manager is able to multitask and remain calm in stressful situations.
Restaurant Supervisor Responsibilities:
Hire and train staff members.
Ensure that health and safety protocols are adhered to.
Keep a meticulous record of income and expenses.
Order ingredients in the correct quantities for the kitchen staff.
Communicate with customers to receive feedback and manage complaints.
Open and close the restaurant on time.
Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
Organize and supervise shifts
Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly and annual revenues and expenses
Recommend ways to reach a broader audience (e.g. discounts and social media ads)
Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices
Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations
Performing daily inspections and periodic audits to check safety of equipment and to ensure that food is cooked properly; addressing engineering problems involving the cost, installation, and maintenance of such equipment
Administering payroll and maintaining records of sales and cash receipts including related areas of accounting, budgeting, credit policies, and banking methods
•Promoting cooperative effort, a team spirit, and good morale among employees
Restaurant Supervisor Requirements:
College Diploma in related field
Experience working in the restaurant industry.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
Proven customer service experience as a manager
Ability to professionally address customer complaints
