Research Analysts to collect business segment financial data. The Research Analyst collects, analyzes, and verifies information from corporate regulatory filings and a variety of other sources for inclusion in FactSet's database of segment financial Research Analysts to collect business segment financial data. The Research Analyst collects, analyzes, and verifies information from corporate regulatory filings and a variety of other sources for inclusion in FactSet's database of segment financial data. The Research Analyst is also responsible for all content maintenance, including updating existing information, adding new companies, executing quality assurance procedures and resolving data accuracy issues. Main Goals: Accurately collect and enter business segment level financial data for companies into FactSet's segment data database Ensure the quality and consistency of business segment data for assigned companies Cooperate and collaborate with Team Leaders in the respective industry group to maintain industry content accuracy, consistency and quality Follow the Segments Data collection process within the context of FactSet's overall content collection effort in Manila Identify and implement opportunities for quality and productivity improvement Develop Industry-specific expertise Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Ability to work independently and to apply skills and past experiences in new situations to achieve results. Work closely with other Segment Team Research Analysts for overall product consistency Skills/Requirements: Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Economics, Finance/Accountancy/Banking, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Commerce or equivalent High integrity, accountability and personal responsibility. An inclination to own problems until they are solved. Basic knowledge of accounting Financial and data collection knowledge a plus solid academic track record Quick learner, with strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills Understanding of U.S. business culture and practices Self-disciplined and highly motivated driven by success, enthusiasm and a desire to exceed target Proven team player No work experience is required
