About World Business Lenders (World Business Lenders (WBL) provides general purpose short-term real estate collateralized commercial loans to a broad customer base comprised of small and medium sized businesses throughout the United States that lack access to traditional funding.
This is a Contract/Consultant position. Generally, working hours will be 9:00am-6:00pm Eastern Time, Monday through Friday, although hours worked may be greater based upon operational requirements. The job requires excellent oral and written command of the English language.

Provide legal advice and support on transactions, particularly those involving troubled assets, restructurings, bankruptcies, litigation, and portfolio administration.
Support the business in preparing for trial proceedings and settlement negotiations.
Work closely with lawyers and paralegals to ensure effective legal representation.
Assist in establishing in Corporate Governance activities.
Monitor regulatory environments to identify emerging compliance risks and requirements; develop strategic responses and guide cross-functional teams in implementing risk-based solutions aligned with business objectives.
Travel to US as needed for on-site requirements.
Requirements
Law degree (Juris Doctor or international equivalent such as LLB or LLM); from a nationally accredited U.S. law school preferred.
6-10 years of experience with law firm required, in-house desirable.
Strong knowledge of US federal state laws, regulations and licensing requirements related to residential and commercial mortgage lending and corporate governance.
Strong understanding of litigation processes, discovery, document management and legal filings.
Demonstrated ability to draft, review and negotiate legal documents with superior legal research and writing skills.
Able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
