Job Description:
Ophthalmic Nurse - Clinic
Responsible for providing general patient care through the application of nursing procedures and practices to eye patients in the assigned nursing unit. This position is also responsible for assisting medical doctors in providing quality eye care treatment to patients.
Ophthalmic Nurse- Operating Room
Responsible for assisting the surgical team and patients in the pre, actual, and post-operation of their eye disorders. They also perform pre-operative assessments for patients before eye surgery. OR nurses are essential during operations, assisting the surgical team and functioning as admitting, circulating, or scrub nurses. They carefully and safely position patients for surgery, verify the surgical site, and help with the instrumentation.
