Job Description
Ensuring that formulas comply with federal regulations regarding ingredient safety and labeling requirements
Reviewing test results to determine whether any changes need to be made to the formula before production begins
Conducting research to develop new products and improve existing products, such as developing new ingredients or discovering new ways to use existing ingredients
Creating formulas for shampoos, conditioners, lotions, body washes, hair dyes, makeup, fragrances, and other cosmetic products
Performing microbiological testing to ensure that products are free from harmful bacteria or other microbes
Analyzing chemical samples using chromatography or other laboratory techniques to ensure that products meet quality standards
Preparing samples of products for sale by creating labels, packaging, and formulating products to meet federal regulations
Testing new products before they are introduced to the market to ensure they meet safety standards and perform as expected
FDA Certified Qualified Personnel for Cosmetics
