Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Regional Test Lead (Payroll) to join our dynamic team. The Regional Test Lead will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, functionality, and efficiency of our payroll systems and processes across multiple locations. The successful candidate will have a strong background in payroll processes, exceptional leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail to ensure the seamless execution of testing activities within the region.
Responsibilities:
Test Strategy and Planning:
Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies and plans for payroll systems, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing requirements based on business needs and system enhancements.
Test Execution:
Lead and manage the regional testing team, ensuring proper allocation of tasks, timelines, and resources to meet project deadlines.
Execute various types of testing, including user acceptance testing (UAT), end-to-end testing, and parallel testing to validate the accuracy and functionality of payroll systems.
Design and implement test scenarios, scripts, and test data to simulate real-world payroll scenarios and address complex business scenarios.
Defect Management:
Monitor and track defects using appropriate tools, collaborating with development teams to resolve issues and ensure timely fixes.
Work closely with stakeholders to validate defect resolutions and verify the successful implementation of fixes.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement within payroll testing activities and collaborate with stakeholders to implement best practices.
Contribute to the continuous enhancement of testing methodologies, tools, and techniques to optimize testing efficiency and effectiveness.
Communication and Reporting:
Provide regular updates on testing progress, issues, and risks to relevant stakeholders, including project managers, business analysts, and leadership teams.
Prepare and present comprehensive test summary reports and metrics, highlighting testing outcomes and recommendations for improvements.
Training and Development:
Mentor and coach testing team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth within the team.
Provide guidance and support to team members in their professional development, technical skills, and testing methodologies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on payroll systems and processes.
Strong understanding of payroll processes, regulations, and compliance requirements.
Proven experience in leading and managing testing teams, including remote and distributed teams.
Proficiency in test planning, execution, defect tracking, and reporting using testing tools and methodologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Analytical mindset with exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of testing automation tools and techniques is a plus.
Professional certifications such as ISTQB, PMP, or Agile certifications are advantageous.
