We are looking for a hard-working, motivated, and organized Regional Accountant. The role will report directly into the Regional Finance Group and will play a key role in establishing strong financial processes across the various regions. These smaller business units have administration support but will really benefit from assistance with the NetSuite and local accounting packages bookkeeping in order to close the monthly management accounts for Group reporting purposes in a timely manner. The Accountant will be responsible for the day to day accounting and month-end processes. The role will also be responsible for identifying financial accounting process improvements in NetSuite and supporting the regional finance teams with accounting advice.

Key responsibilities:
Carry out the daily bookkeeping tasks including but not limited to purchase invoice registration, raising client invoices, bank reconciliation, processing of client and supplier payments, expense report registration, revenue and WIP reconciliation, posting over revenue, posting of monthly journals
Accrual and prepayment reconciliation
Develop strong relationships with the global finance team as well as the local administrative assistants and support them in maintaining strong controls and accurate financial reporting
Accurate and timely delivery of monthly management accounts ensuring they reflect best knowledge of the activities of the business and Anthesis accounting policy (IFRS)
Development of existing month end close processes and implement efficiencies where applicable
Liaise with external accounting support with any ad-hoc tasks for example assisting with the local audit and any other statutory reporting requirements
Administer Netsuite data e.g. suppliers, clients, projects, etc.
Requirements:
Qualified accountant with 5 + years of relevant working experience as a management accountant
Experience of multinational company environments, particularly in Europe, Middle East and South America, an advantage
Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards
Experience with Oracle NetSuite is preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word) is essential
Excellent English language written and verbal communication skills
Good interpersonal skills with a strong customer service focus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proactive self-starter with first class organizational ability, who is detail oriented, and results focused, and able to oversee and support the financial administration of several projects at once
Proactive and a committed team player
Can work under pressure and with minimal supervision
Can work on flexible hours to support global teams in many time zones, meet changing work environment and to meet tight deadlines
