The opportunity:
The Regional Finance team is a brand new function set up to support the recent SE Asian acquisitions of EMPG encompassing businesses in Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Bangladesh and Mexico. This role will be reporting to the Regional CFO (SE Asia) based in Bangkok, Thailand.
You are great at:
Work closely with both the Core Finance and Business (Sales, Marketing, Operations) Teams, the FP&A Manager focuses on producing analysis to help increase efficiency and profitability, through internal and external benchmarking, financial data analysis and KPI drivers
Lead and deliver a budget / forecast driven accountable culture in the organization by bringing a focus towards detailed planning, risk and opportunity analysis and process improvement
Producing annual budgets, regular forecasts during planning cycles
Engaging / partnering with business teams to understand financial drivers and KPIs
Delivering transformation projects (process implementation, talent, and systems improvements)
Analyzing financial data in tandem with business data
Developing and delivering reports to be shared with wider business teams using data visualization
Work closely with the leadership team to formulate the business's medium to long term financial and strategic plans (business plans)
Work closely with the Business Unit heads to build their annual budgets and forecasts, translate these into operational plans
Deliver competitor analysis, market trends and identifying risks and opportunities for the business. Linking this information with the financial and operational results to better understand company performance, resulting in recommendations for new efficiency or cost transformation initiatives
Utilize BI tools to delivery meaningful insights into business performance. Deep diving in to data sets, cleansing and mining to make sense of unstructured information
Conduct root cause analysis to address business problems and develop efficient yet risk averse solutions. Review existing processes and procedures to develop recommendations for future performance improvement
Communicate results and recommendations to the wider business teams with implementation plans that can be tracked and monitored
Lead transformational programs and initiatives across the business
Coordinate and drive improvements through BI analysts within each business unit
Develop financial valuation models for financial reporting and tax purposes
In time manage a team of FP&A Analysts
Education: Bachelors / Masters from a reputable institution OR qualified CA
Experience: Minimum of 6 years' experience
Specialized knowledge: Finance, Economics, Data
Technical knowledge: BI tools, Excel (formulas and VBA), SQL
Skills: Analytical Mindset and Commercial Acumen
Personal characteristics: willingness to learn, team player, good communication skills, honesty and integrity, ability to lead
