About the Job
At Xendit, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accountant to join our team. Reporting to the Global Financial Controller, the Accountant will be responsible for managing the company's financial records and ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting regulations. You will work closely with the Senior Accountant to provide accurate and timely financial information for decision-making. Scope focus is the Regional Hub, with coordination required with SEA markets.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as experience with financial reporting and analysis. You should also be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills.
Minimum Qualifications
3 years experience in accounting or finance roles
A degree in Accounting/Business/Economics or equivalent
Good working knowledge of IFRS
Well-versed in MS Office, especially MS Excel and Word; or Google Suite (e.g. Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc)
Preferred Qualifications
CPA / ACCA or its equivalents is preferred
A self-starter who is able to plan, organize and take initiative to meet job objectives and deadlines independently
Can-do attitude, driven and passionate about work
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities
Ensure timely, accurate month-end closing and financial reporting to Management
Responsible for preparation and closing of monthly and annual financial statements
Responsible for accounting processes and tasks (i.e.: AP & AR process, GL, bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, etc.)
Coordinate and liaise with internal parties to support intercompany activities
Coordinate and liaise with external parties like external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, local tax and government authorities where required
Support and ensure compliance with all finance filing requirements, tax filing requirement (GST/WHT/CIT, etc), MAS payment license filing requirements, audits, procedures and forms both statutory and internal
Assist in new processes and system implementation when required
Do whatever it takes to make Xendit succeed
