Overview: As a Reference Data Analyst you will be offering a service to the Global Party Data Management (GCDM) Tribe under the Chief Data Management Office (CDMO) based in Amsterdam. The GCDM Tribe aims to standardise the Master Party and Referenc Overview: As a Reference Data Analyst you will be offering a service to the Global Party Data Management (GCDM) Tribe under the Chief Data Management Office (CDMO) based in Amsterdam. The GCDM Tribe aims to standardise the Master Party and Reference Data Management across all ING Countries and Domains. Part of that standardisation is our ING-developed system named "Global Reference Data Management" or "GRDM" for short. GRDM has 2 teams attached to it: The Platform team which develops the software and implements technical connections based in Amsterdam. the Operations Chapter which offers services on the data stored within GRDM. You will be a member of the Operations Chapter based in Manila. If you are good at: Allows creation of tables in the underlying database without running code. Instead, updates are done using structured excel uploads via a user-friendly front-end. Allows every ING employee to view data and the appropriate data stewards to maintain owned data once they get a GRDM role created specifically for them. Allows every table (and part thereof) to be distributed to multiple systems, thus assuming the role of "master" in Reference Data. If you are: Great attention to detail when processing data. MS Excel experience is required. Basic logical data modelling knowledge is desired. You understand concepts like primary and foreign keys. Basic understanding of Data Governance (who is allowed to what, on which data) is desired. Comfortable in working in an very international environment. Ready to work with colleagues from the Netherlands and other ING locations remotely. Capable to be a sparring partner for the ING business and data management functions. Model reference data sets to efficient and future proof data structures (tables & columns). Because GRDM potentially allows any user to update owned or supervised data, you are expected to uphold Governance by: Following Processes based on agreements the GCDM tribe or users. Assigning Roles such as Data Owner and Steward to the appropriate users (ideally in the business part of ING) for each data set. Design Standards and author them on our confluence. To provide user support, you are expected to Consult, such as Answer user questions, such as where to find the correct data, how the GRDM screens work, etc. Train new self-service users in interactive session, so that they learn how to maintain data themselves. For the Data that our team owns or supervises, you to perform Maintenance activities, which include: Identify updates by checking against external or internal sources.
