JOB DESCRIPTION
The Quantity Surveyor/Cost Control Engineer shall be responsible for the preparation of detailed material and cost estimates of prospective projects, ensuring that all quantities, rates, assumptions, and exclusions are correct. Furthermore, he/she must ensure that projects are completed within budget without compromising quality.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare detailed Bill of Quantities outlining all individual components required to construct the project
Develop and implement cost control measures. Responsible in tracking and managing project costs which includes establishing budgets, tracking expenditures, and analyzing variances
Monitor and ensure that the projects' budgets are on track. Identify variances that may need corrective action
Work hand in hand with the Site Civil Engineers/Project-in-Charge to forecast costs and recommend measures to mitigate cost overruns
Cost analysis: Identify and propose possible cost saving measures and optimize project resources
Prepare reports on project financials, including budget status, cost variances, and forecasted costs
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
Professional License (Passed Board/Professional License Exam) is a must
At least 1 year experience in Quantity Surveying and Cost Control/project budgeting is a must
Can interpret plans and details
Knows MS Software and basic CAD
Has a keen eye for details and strong analytical skill
Willing to be assigned in NCR
