The Quality Test Engineer (QA) is responsible to perform end-to-end Quality Control and Quality Assurance activities for the project
To understand product requirements and develop test plans, test cases, and test data
Create and execute test scripts, analyze, and record results (manual and automated testing)
Support different maintenance activities and product deliveries
Ensure that adequate test coverage is provided
Identify defects/anomalies and investigate their root cause. Document and track these defects.
Assist fellow team members in resolving technical issues
Contribute to improving the QA process and quality standards
Recommend improvements or corrections to developers or system analysts
Work with Developers, Product Owners, Product Analysts and other test team members to complete testing tasks
Ensure high quality and accuracy is maintained throughout the software release cycle
Provide feedback to the development team and ensure the work is carried out in accordance with the schedule and the quality requirements
Determine testing tools that can be implemented to aid QA and maximize testing coverage
Undertake other duties
QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 3 years of QA Engineering experience
Bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Engineering required, preferably in Computer Science, ECE or related discipline
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
2-3 years of Software Quality Automation experience using Selenium WebDriver, UFT, and/or BDD testing using Cucumber / Serenity
1+ years of experience with CI systems including GitLab, Jenkins, Kibana, Maven, JIRA, ElasticSearch, etc.
Knowledge and experience with web services / API testing, including the use of tools such as SoapUI and Ready API
Experience with Scrum/Kanba/SaFe Agile workflow methodologies
Industry certification (ISTQB, CSTB, Six Sigma, etc.) is a plus
Must have strong technical skills, such as an ability to understand SQL syntax for checking results in a database or editing XML configuration files
Experience with the Java programming language
Strong knowledge of the entire SDLC
Solve technical challenges, which will result in shortening test cycles, increase product speed to market and improve the test frameworks, tools, and technologies used by the organization
