Schedule: DayshiftWhat will your day look like?The Quality Assurance Officer will support the team in maintaining strong credit quality, through early detection of potential risks and ensuring appropriate quality assurance programs are developed and implemented. The role will also provide ongoing support through coaching by working closely appropriate teams and being a subject matter expert in the processes relevant to our business. This role is also to take the lead in the oversight and reporting of all operational risk and compliance events.As a Quality Assurance Officer, you will:Manage the governance over operational risk and compliance management including relevant reportingProvide advice and interpretation on policy through collaboration with the 1st and 2nd line risk team to ensure accurate and appropriate processes are adhered toAdvocate the Quality Assurance Framework and ProgramParticipate in, and contribute to, functions/projects designed for process improvement within RecoveriesIdentify opportunities to improve the processesIdentify and report breachesBuild collaborative relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders to enable goals to be achievedProvide ongoing coaching to the respective teamsEnsure processes, policies and controls are in place for robust governance and meets compliance requirementsWhat will you bring?To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:At least 5 years experience within the banking industry (specifically in credit risk and assurance roles)An understanding of credit policies and portfolio risk management (including knowledge of external ratings)Knowledge of loan facilities and collateralExperience in reviewing, preparing, or processing facility agreements.Ability to work effectively within a large and multifunctional program under tight deadlinesAbility to both work independently and in collaboration with a wide teamExcellent verbal and written communication skills (able to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders)Ability to work accurately under pressure with attention to detail, following through all issues to completion.Negotiation skills to enable successful resolution of credit papers/queries/issuesResourcefulness and ability to identify areas for process improvementExperience working in Agile delivery teamsExperience testing and analysing business processes.A strong attention to detail and critical-thinking skillsResourcefulness and an ability to identify areas for process improvementsA growth mindsetTertiary qualificationYou're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
