At CGI, our Quality Assurance Engineers are trusted to work closely with a wide range of clients on exciting projects with real-world purpose and impact. Your future duties and responsibilities: . Provide meaningful progress updates in line with test strategy. . Actively using tools/processes such as Jira, Kanban, Xray etc. . Work with BA and business to clarify requirements for Test Automation. . Leads on estimation of testing activities. . Leads the development of the test approach achieving consensus on coverage targets when contributing towards the Acceptance Criteria, taking into account the testing required to mitigate the identified risks. . Training up non-specialist testers, e.g. clients, 3rd parties, Business Analysts, developers and Product Owner, to be effective in testing. . Perform peer review of colleague's scripts. . One or more of the following: o Maintains automated functional tests, update re-usable automation assets. o Engage with business analysts and developers to clarify features and functionality. o Conduct performance analysis using Load test, Stress Test and Soak Test methodologies, where possible within sprint. o Supports teams to implement solutions, getting hands-on with manual, exploratory, automation, performance and non-functional test preparation and execution if required. . Reviewing test results and modifying tests if necessary. . Document standards for development of automated scripts. . Team leading/mentoring/coaching of small teams, usually informally but occasionally formally to agreed processes and standards. . Helps define and oversees completion of work in their specialist area (business and/or functional and/or non-functional testing and/or test automation) as required, following standards and processes. . Contribute towards the production of the Test Plan/Strategy. . Contribute towards the production of the periodic Test Dashboard for management reporting. . Support the creation of Test Completion Reports covering functional and non-functional testing. . Keeps up to date with applicable business trends, developments and technologies as they emerge. . Identifies potential process improvements. . Strong communicator and team player with the ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders . Define specific Test Environment requirements and assure readiness of Testing Environments for use. Required qualifications to be successful in this role: . Strong in STLC and SDLC Concepts . Good working experience in Cucumber, Eclipse, HP ALM, Java, Jenkins, Jira, JMeter, J Unit, LoadRunner, Selenium and SQL. . Good working experience of automation or significant non-functional and functional testing on two or more projects . Excellent understanding of Agile Test processes and practices. . Organisational skills with the capability of working towards tight deadlines. . Ability to write test reports and test strategies. . Proven understanding of the benefits of, and experience of using, exploratory testing . Demonstrable experience of training, coaching and mentoring a team, including clients, 3rd parties, business analysts, developers and the Product Owner. . Has experience in non-web based Automation. . Experience of continuous integration. .
