JOB SUMMARY
The Quality Assurance / Engineer is responsible for ensuring that products and services meet the established standards set by the organization. Duties include, but not limited to: maintaining strong overall quality control of deliverables made by the development team adhering to various criteria. Scrutinizing of deliverables is part of the job and document findings.
QUALIFICATIONS
● Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
● Coding Skills (e.g.: PHP/Laravel, Java, JavaScript, etc.) and logic formulation
● Knows (or at least trainable): Selenium, Robot Framework
● Basic knowledge on Git
● Familiar with testing methodologies (e.g.: regression, performance, security, limits, scream, etc.)
● Ability to adapt in a dynamic and diverse working environment
● Good communication and problem-solving skills
● Flexible and able to work independently as well as in a team; be able to conduct internal training sessions.
● Prioritization over multitask
Plus factor:
● Knows or familiar with: Cucumber and other automation testing tools
● RDBMS (e.g.: MySQL, MSSQL, etc.)
● Ci/CD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery)
● Scripting (e.g.: Bash, etc.)
● Cloud platform (e.g.: AWS - preferred, Azure, etc.)
RESPONSIBILITIES
● Supports the team in scoping, gathering information about the application, workflows, and understanding the rationale behind
● Write test cases (positive and negative / happy and unhappy (sad) paths) to be tested against the software (web, mobile) and automated testing using defined tools by the team
● Ensures the quality of the application, enhancement, and/or fixes, made by development team to be within the acceptable criteria
● Reports and documents bugs and/or defects in concise, clear, and complete manner
● Reviews requirements of projects - plan, execute, analyze tests
● Troubleshooting errors and recommend corrective measures
● Maintain lines of communication with all stakeholders
● Follow the QA process and suggest processes that may help improve the team
