About This Role:
As an IT Business Analyst, you will be a key player in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. You will collaborate with stakeholders, project managers, and development teams to elicit, analyze, and document requirements for various IT projects. Your expertise in Agile methodologies and your ability to work closely with cross-functional teams will be essential in delivering successful technology solutions. This role requires a combination of technical knowledge and strong analytical skills to ensure the alignment of business objectives with effective IT solutions.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, elicit, and document detailed requirements for IT projects and initiatives.
Analyze and evaluate business processes, systems, and user needs to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
Work closely with project managers, developers, and quality assurance teams to ensure clear understanding and communication of requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
Develop user stories, use cases, process flows, and other documentation to articulate business needs and translate them into actionable specifications.
Facilitate meetings, workshops, and discussions to gather requirements, address queries, and resolve issues effectively.
Assist in prioritizing features and functionalities based on business value, impact, and feasibility.
Collaborate with Agile development teams, participating in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure efficient project execution.
Conduct thorough testing and validation of developed solutions to ensure they meet business requirements and quality standards.
Identify and proactively address potential risks or roadblocks during the project life cycle.
Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, and advancements in IT to provide insights and recommendations for process improvements.
Qualifications:
At least 4 years of experience working as an IT Business Analyst.
Demonstrated experience with Agile methodology and working in Agile development environments.
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or other relevant programs.
Proven ability to elicit and document complex business requirements effectively.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and propose innovative solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and completeness in requirements documentation.
Experience in consultancy or contract-based roles is a plus.
Business Analysis certifications such as CBAP or CCBA are advantageous.
