PURCHASING MANAGER
 
JOB DESCRIPTION
Developing and implementing purchasing strategies to ensure cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
Managing and leading the purchasing and warehouse teams, providing guidance, and training.
Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, negotiating prices, and contracts, and establishing long-term relationships to ensure a reliable supply chain.
Monitoring market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as production, finance, and quality assurance, to ensure timely and accurate procurement of materials and services needed.
Overseeing the purchase order process, ensuring accuracy, compliance with company procedures, and timely delivery of goods and services.
Managing inventory levels and optimizing stock levels to minimize carrying costs while meeting production demands.
Conducting regular supplier performance reviews and implementing corrective actions as necessary to maintain high-quality standards.
Staying updated on industry regulations and best practices related to purchasing and supply chain management.
Preparing and presenting reports and forecasts related to purchasing activities to senior management.
Forecasting supply and demand to prevent overstocking and out-of-stock situations.
Ensuring purchases stay within budget constraints and monitoring and forecasting future demand levels.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred, business administration, supply chain management, logistics, or any related field.
Minimum of 5 years work experience in a managerial capacity.
Experience in inventory management, stock control, and supplier relationship management is highly valued.
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills for optimal supplier terms and team collaboration.
Thorough understanding of procurement processes, supply chain management principles, and inventory control methods.
Familiarity with relevant regulations, industry standards, and best practices in purchasing and stock control.
Preferably knowledgeable in ODOO or similar ERP.
Can start as soon as possible.
