Toyota Motor Philippines is looking for a Purchasing Engineering Associate to join our Purchasing Engineering Department based in Santa Rosa, Laguna, Philippines.
The Purchasing Engineering Associate is a member of the Supply Chain Management Section that creates technical analysis, process standardization, data management and KPI monitoring, has significant engineering competency and provides technical support to suppliers to ensure that TMP expectations are met.
In this role, you are expected to be a domain expert in technical analysis and process standardization.
Your role and responsibilities:
Support suppliers in SQDE (Safety Quality Delivery Environment), TPS (Toyota Production System) and Jiritsuka (self-reliance) development
Conceptualize and implement TPS & SQDE activities
Set targets and manage KPI of SQDE and TPS
Provide technical support and guidance to suppliers
Handle audit, conduct risk assessment and management
Provide support in Toyota Suppliers Club and activities promotion
Shopfloor management facilitation, assessment and improvements
Our perfect match:
You have a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering
You maintain effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks or the work environment; adjust to work within new work structures, processes, requirements, or cultures.
You effectively manage your time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently.
You can monitor the results of delegations, assignments, or projects, considering the skills, knowledge and experience of the assigned individual and the characteristics of the assignment or project.
You are proactive; taking prompt action to accomplish objectives and taking action to achieve goals beyond what is required.
Skills required:
Excellent computer and Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
Knowledge in AutoCAD, Inventor, Catia, Solid works is an advantage
Has knowledge in reading and assessing technical drawing
Basic knowledge in SAP is an advantage but not required.
Relevant work experience in manufacturing, logistics, quality, and pollution control
Ability to coordinate with a diverse range of personalities and groups
High analytical skills
Tenacious team player
