GRM International, Inc. is looking for a Purchasing Assistant!
GRM International, Inc. is a duly licensed freight forwarder and customs broker involved in the handling of both domestic and international air & sea shipments, and provides tariff consultancy, warehousing, trucking, and other allied services.
Responsibilities:
Perform vendor research and selection to enhance profitability, reduce operating costs and boost efficiency
Sign and review purchasing agreements with vendors, monitoring their performance and renegotiating contracts
Manage purchase orders and maintain purchase records
Coordinate with warehouse staff to compare deliveries with purchase orders to identify discrepancies
Understand company needs based on stock, inventory, projects and plans as well as the understanding of general sales and market trends according to the industry
Develop successful relationships with suppliers, distributors and manufacturers while ensuring that the required products are always in stock.
Routine checking of office building, warehouses, and cargo trucks for repairs and maintenance.
Requirements:
Degree in marketing, or similar.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to perform in fast-paced environments.
Excellent written, verbal, and telephone communication skills
