Summary of Work Activities and Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Coordinator, the Pupil Aide is responsible for the safety and well-being of the assigned grade-level students.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
I. Student Support
Attends to the assigned grade level students' needs in aspects pertaining to health, hygiene, and other personal requirements
Accompanies students in going to the clinic and keeps a record of the accompanied students
Assists students on the proper use of the washroom and provides instructions such as but not limited to:
Instructing students on the proper use of the bidet, proper hand washing, etc.
Assisting students in cleaning up in case they soil their clothes, vomit, etc.
Cleaning up the students' soiled clothes and ensuring the clothes are packed and brought home by the students
Regularly checks the availability of the soap and toilet papers in the washrooms, and coordinates with Maintenance Staff for replenishment as needed
Collects items from the Information Office (e.g. students' medications, food, etc. that were dropped off by their parents/ guardians) and delivers them to student/s concerned
Reminds students of and ensures that they follow recess guidelines (e.g. picking up of litter, playing safely, etc.)
Ushers students to their designated areas during prefect time (e.g. entering the lobby at the proper time, proceeding to the dismissal area, etc.)
Guides students to other venues for special activities (e.g. covered courts for P.E. classes, sportsfest, etc.)
II. Classroom and Faculty Support
Assists faculty in addressing classroom requirements such as preparation of materials for the different grade level activities, implementation of activities, etc.
Assists faculty in setting up bulletin board designs in the lounges of the assigned grade levels
III. Performs other duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor, or any
authorized representative.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree graduate
One (1) year of work experience in a school setting
