A. Job Summary
The Property Engineer is responsible for the general administration of property development, proper maintenance and repair of all buildings, fixtures, fittings and equipment as well as technical improvements, preventive maintenance and utilities consumption control.
Also accountable for providing guests with a safe environment by maintaining the Hotel's assets through preventive maintenance programs, ensuring that all mechanical, electrical, structural and sanitary systems are equipped and operational in accordance with the standards of the Hotel.
B. Duties and Responsibilities
1. Maintenance & Engineering
• Ensures that preventative maintenance program, operation schedules of building machinery are carried out by technicians in line with the energy and facilities efficiency program
• Responsible for designing maintenance methods and strategies, scheduling maintenance work, identifying problems, and managing maintenance equipment and tools.
• Analyses the equipment maintenance structure, look into equipment and machinery failures, assess the needs for spare parts and equipment replacements, report safety hazards, and evaluate alternatives.
• Monitors activities of technicians and disseminate information and instructions
• Monitors projects and repairs
• Conducts regular routine inspection of all hotel equipment, facilities and common areas
• Ensure that all equipment and facilities are in good working condition by conducting regular inspection
• Ensures that all company policies, systems and procedures are followed and strictly implemented
• Coordinates with external contractors for specific projects and reports to the Manager for approval
2. General Administration
• Attends to work orders and engineering concerns
• Raised purchase requisition for engineering items
• Monitors utilities consumptions.
• Prepares status reports
3. Security and Safety
• Conducts regular safety audits
• Ensure that the property is safe from technical hazards and dangers and is secured at all times
• Implement all Mandatory Government and Estate safety requirements such as but not limited to Safety drills and evacuation
4. People Management
• Manage and lead the team, ensuring adequate staffing levels
D. QUALIFICATIONS
1. Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably Civil Engineering.
2. Preferably minimum of 5 years maintenance or project management experience.
3. Must be willing to be assigned in Silang Cavite.
E. TRAINING & SKILLS DEVELOPMENT
1. Must have good leadership and people management skills
2. With excellent customer service and problem solving skills
3. With excellent communication skills and negotiation ability
4. Must be observant with safety hazards, and practices work safety
5. Ability to do critical analysis of any situation whether operational or administrative
6. Excellent in project management
7. Knowledge of relevant laws, government regulations and building code
