Basic Function: The Property Accountant will have full responsibility for the accounting records and internal reporting for a portfolio of 6 to 10 limited partnerships each of which owns and operates approximately 20 to 100 units. The position will report to the Accounting Manager based in Philippines. Experience in Affordable Housing, Yardi Voyager software and a not-for-profit environment is highly desirable but not required.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, and
Minimum of 3-5 years professional experience, preferably in affordable housing, federal low-income housing and homeless services programs, non-profit accounting, and property management
Able to read, write, and speak English clearly and fluently
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial statements, technical procedures, and/or governmental regulations
Ability to write clear reports and other types of business correspondence
Ability to analyze and monitor financial statements and budgets and other reports; and
Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts as applied to accounting such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions
High level of competence with accounting spreadsheet, database and word processing programs required; knowledge of Yardi Voyager and supporting modules is preferred
