BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE GENERAL FUNCTION OF THE JOB
The Project Planning & Control Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, leading and controlling the activities of the Project Planning and Control Department. Works closely with the Engineering Department and Senior Managers of the Operations Department. Leads the project scheduling and monitoring functions. These functions include scoping, planning and scheduling, earned value management, participation in change control (i.e. variation orders), project schedule database development, report development, problem identification and resolution support.
Works with Area and Project Managers in overseeing and directing a project progression. This is to ensure that projects are completed within the determined time frame, and well within the constraints of the budget and other resources necessary.
Education
Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Architecture or in Civil Engineering
Experience
· At least five (5) years technical work experience in a construction company or its equivalent, at least two (2) years of which in a supervisory or managerial capacity
· Knowledge of/skills in cost control, progress reporting, quantity and estimation
· With knowledge of/skills in scheduling, cost, finance and management applied in medium-to-large projects
· Knowledge of/skills in SAP-Expert
· Project management skills
· Presentation skills
· Knowledge of ISO Quality Management System, an advantage
· Verbal and written communication skills-Advanced
· Knowledge of/skills in MS Office-Intermediate
· Professional attitude and appearance
Eligibility
