Key Responsibilities:
PURPOSE OF POSITION
This Purpose of Position will be used in the WVI or local Careers site, and if applicable, advertisements. Please describe the role in 2-3 concise sentences. This position is responsible for the implementation of Urban Development Project in Mandaue which is a non-sponsorshipproject funded by World Vision Singapore. The implementation will involve interventions on education, health and nutrition and child protection.
The project will be implemented through a multi-sector approach wherein each partner's specific roles and responsibilities shall be based on its existing programs and projects, as well as organizational capacities and resources. Specifically, World Vision shall be responsible for the following during the implementation of the project:
As lead implementer, execute overall management and technical oversight; Make available its technical resources for integration: World Vision's technical programmes (TPs) and project models Advocacy on child protection Skills 4 Life and Youth Ready modules Spiritual Nurture for Filipino Children modules and tools Make available its project models, toolkits, training tools, modules, baselining and monitoring & evaluation tools and instruments needed to implement the project activities; Ensure quality implementation of planned project activities to result to the desired project outcomes; Monitor and evaluate the project in collaboration with the key partners.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Implement and lead in the delivery of targets based on assigned project focus, may it be education, child protection or health and nutrition
Organize community based working groups
Coordinate the planning, implementation and monitoring of the project in partnership with local government units, community, inter-agency network, and other stakeholders.
Ensures timely and quality technical report writing and documentation
Establish and maintain relationship with the executive and legislative branches of government, relevant agencies and stakeholder
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
A graduate of a bachelor's degree in Community Development, Environment, SocialSciences or any related courses and/or equivalent experience in project management.
At least six-month experience in report writing and monitoring of projects.
Community organizing & training facilitation
Experienced in coordination with local agencies and in working with local government units, civilsociety organizations, churches, faith based organizations, etc.
Competence in the use of MS Office and excellence in both oral and written Englishcommunication especially in technical report writing and analysis
A working knowledge on the operations of materials recovery facility, Solid Waste Management
Planning and local laws on Solid Waste Management.
Can work with minimal supervision
Can use technology in project designing, monitoring and reporting
The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically up to50% of the time.
