The role of the Project Manager within the Solution Delivery team is to take responsibility for the entire development cycle; from customer requirements to delivery of the solution.
What will your job look like?
You will monitor and report to senior management and customers on project progress, with respect to effort, cost and duration & key milestones is essential.
You will manage partners: from their on-site resources, the quality of their deliverables through to their schedule.
You can clearly demonstrate management of effective requirements gathering from both internal and external customers.
You will have demonstrable success in motivating teams to deliver exceptional results in challenging customer situations.
You will manage a number of projects concurrently and to exemplary standards; possess a very clear delivery focus and be adept at managing change.
You will be able to clearly demonstrate commercial awareness, manage the delivery of complex projects to customers and with a genuine commitment to playing a leading role in new business initiatives.
The role interfaces with the our Sales and Programme Delivery colleagues for commercial items; and with the Delivering Digital Business Platforms - Faster product development group on product releases- to deliver on the agreed levels of functionality, as commited to the customer.
All you need is...
At least 5 year's experience (preferably within the Telecom industry), some of which must be in a Team Lead or Project Management role.
The ideal person for our team will be considered as expert in delivering customer deployments & projects and committed to delivering excellent work with excellent people.
Have experience working with deployments of components within the OSS & BSS space in a telecoms environment
Preferably with previous development experience and understanding of UNIX/Linux Operating systems would be beneficial
Preferably have knowledge of Telecommunication applications and protocols
Ability to mitigate risks and address issues to ensure timely completion of project milestones, with a practical knowledge of best in class development methodologies being a core compenent of the role.
Good communication and intepersonal skills
Required: Experience in Jira
Advantage: Experience in Microsoft Project
Advantage: Experience in managing third party vendor
