PROJECT MANAGER
 
Duties And Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with design, architecture teams, and key personnel at the site to develop and review building plans. Responsibilities include oversee estimating project costs and budgets, consulting with clients to ensure their needs are met, and managing relationships with contractors and vendors.
Develop and oversee project schedules and timelines, manage site planning, and ensure all projects comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Prepare project proposals and bids, oversee project execution to guarantee alignment with design specifications, building codes, and quality standards, and coordinate effectively with construction teams to ensure timely and successful delivery.
Establish project benchmarks, monitor progress, and provide regular updates to stakeholders. Conduct site inspections, ensuring that construction activities adhere to planned schedules and quality expectations, and provide actionable feedback to teams.
Identify potential project risks, implement mitigation strategies, and manage the project budget to ensure financial control and avoid overruns. This includes tracking expenses and making adjustments as needed.
Ensure all project scopes are fully defined, secure necessary permits, comply with all contractual obligations, monitor possible variation order or any additional works and maintain accurate and updated project documentation throughout the project's life cycle.
Implement and manage occupational health and safety standards on-site and enforce quality control measures to ensure high standards of work and compliance with safety regulations.
Build and maintain strong relationships with co-employees, clients, subcontractors, and vendors. Handle project-related issues and conflicts effectively, ensuring smooth communication and resolution of any challenges that may arise.
Qualifications and Technical Requirements
Must be a Licensed Architect or Civil Engineer, preferably with at least five years of project management experience.
Oversees team members on a project, assigning duties and tracking progress to deliver the project as ordered.
Planning projects with team members to create a structure for the completion of the project.
Delegating tasks to team members to keep the project on schedule, using knowledge of individual skills to best use each employee.
Demonstrated ability to navigate and oversee large, complex projects, ensuring all aspects of planning, execution, and completion are handled efficiently.
Strong time management skills with the ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and efficiently allocate resources. The ability to recognize critical tasks and decline requests that hinder project completion is essential.
Innovative problem-solving abilities to address design challenges and keep projects on track. A creative approach to resolving design-related issues is vital.
Proficiency in drawing, both hand-drawn and using software like CAD and BIM, for conveying architectural concepts. Strong visualization skills to envision and communicate the completed project.
Critical thinking and rational decision-making to analyze complex designs and make informed choices. The ability to justify every aspect of a design and explain it to stakeholders is essential.
Strong creative abilities to address aesthetic issues and design challenges, ensuring that both functional and visual aspects of the project meet high standards.
Excellent organizational skills to manage project documentation, contracts, client meetings, and delegation of tasks to contractors, ensuring smooth workflow.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas to clients, architects, construction teams, and other stakeholders involved in the project.
Expertise in CADD (Computer-Aided Design and Drafting) technology and Building Information Modeling (BIM) for creating detailed plans and overseeing the technical elements of project management.
