The Role
The Project Manager position at SoftwareONE represents a key role in driving the designing and execution of organizations IT services and assets. SoftwareONE anticipates the need to manage hyper-growth for the next several years. The cloud services is considered one of the cornerstone areas for supporting this hyper-growth.
The Project Manager is part of the Technology Services team for designing and executing secure, efficient, reliable, scalable, highly available and fault tolerant systems on Cloud. Lead efforts to identify appropriate use of cloud best practices. The position serves as a senior project delivery expert for creating an integrated user experience across a broad set of technologies.
Responsible for providing senior level expertise on decisions and priorities regarding the enterprise's overall strategy.
Facilitates the establishment and implementation of standards and guidelines that guide the design of technology solutions including architecting and implementing solutions requiring integration of multiple platforms, operating systems and applications across the enterprise.
Create and manage the project plan.
Planning project resources.
Lead and support the project team on a daily basis, facilitating and ensuring collaboration.
Monitor and report on project progress.
Lead process of issue identification and resolution.
Knowledge of project management tools and Agile/Lean methodologies.
Responsible for strategic planning, risk management and/or change management
Develops and documents the framework for integration and implementation for changes to technical assists in the development of and manages an IT governance process.
Provides technical guidance to project team areas as appropriate. Tracks industry trends and maintains knowledge of new technologies to better serve the enterprise's IT needs.
Identify and drive necessary improvements in the cloud solutions to align with the architectural frameworks and best practices
Work and collaborate closely with Consulting, Engineering, DevOps and Support teams to reach overall company objectives.
Stays current with the newest cloud computing tools and technologies available. Must obtain and maintain vendor/industry standard certifications.
Drives continuous improvement and adoption of best practices to simplify, standardize and consolidate the core services wherever it makes sense, to include tools to ensure ease of use for organization
Ensure continuing ability to scale and optimize
What we need to see from you
Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical or computer engineering or related degree preferred
5+ years of experience in an IT Infrastructure delivery, managing increasingly complex project
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Cloud and IT transition, transformation, and migration
Knowledge of project management tools and Agile/Lean methodologies
Experienced in driving solutions in Hybrid-Cloud environments (M365, Azure, and AWS)
Proven understanding of Cloud Infrastructure and Applications concepts
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
Demonstrated understanding of Scalability, High Availability & Redundancy concepts
Demonstrated understanding of Enterprise Security Concepts
Self-motivated & self-starting individual
Strong cross-cultural and inter-personal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to relate well to, and understand the business strategy and requirements in order to drive suitable technical solutions
Excellent oral and written command in English is required, other languages are a plus
