Job Description End to End project management of data center build and upgrade projects
Job Description:
As a Project Manager, the successful candidate will be a key member of the owner's team assigned to deliver new, expansion or upgrade/renewal Data Center projects across the country. The candidate will be responsible to manage assigned projects through the whole project life cycle. In collaboration with internal project team and stakeholders, consultants and contractors the candidate will be responsible to deliver projects to the highest EHS standards, on time, within budget, and to required quality and performance standards.
Job Roles:
Provide effective project management, planning and control of assigned project(s) including;
Champion the project to zero harm and compliance to corporate and project HSE requirements
Provide strategic input, experience and expertise to organise, set-up and expedite the project for success
Establish and maintain overall project delivery plan, including the cost, schedule, quality and performance baseline
Establish and maintain communication protocols across the project, including from internal departments and other stakeholders
Manage project budget and costs, including the change management process
Manage project schedule, including critical path analysis and work around planning
Manage the bid and evaluation or required project consultants and contractors, including coordinating required management approvals
Administer consultant and contractor, including maintaining strict compliance with the contract, scope of work and compliance with project specifications
Coordinate owners requirements and inputs to the project, including compliance with end user requirements
Coordinate authority, third party and stakeholder interfaces such as Project Approvals and Power Supply Connection
Communicate and report internally on project status, including weekly and monthly project dashboards
Maintain project documentation
Identify, analyse and mitigate project risks and champion project opportunities
Manage the delivery / transition of the projects to end users in accordance with acceptance criteria
Qualifications:
At least 5 years in a Project Management / Construction Management role handling construction projects
At least 3 years handling data center projects or similar mission critical facilities such as tertiary hospitals, cable landing stations, telco switch buildings, power plants, advanced/sensitive manufacturing plants such as semiconductor plants
Licensed Mechanical Engineer / Electrical Engineer / Civil Engineer
With good background on implementation, testing and commissioning of MEPF systems, with knowledge on UPS, Precision cooling, automation of electrical systems, gensets, transformers, chillers, pumps
Candidates w/ relevant data center certifications preferred
