The Role
As a Project Management Governance Manager, you will assist the Project Management Governance Head in ensuring that SBC, its subsidiaries, and affiliates adopt and adhere to Enterprise Project Management Framework as part of the key pillar of Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO). This role is responsible for deploying and managing the planning, development, and implementation of project efforts that utilize the framework. Adopts new corporate, strategic policies, and oversees and ensures good governance implementation within the organization/group.
This is a critical role in the success of the adoption and monitoring of PM Framework and receives a high level of visibility throughout the organization.
The Project Management Governance Manager possesses business acumen and sophisticated analytical thinking, advanced knowledge of project management system capabilities/integration, and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with team members at all levels.
How you'll contribute
Offer advanced-level project management knowledge and influences activities on business-critical projects from the conceptual phase, solution implementation, project close, and continuous improvement.
Implement the tactical components and strategies to achieve goals at an enterprise level.
Propose the creation, adoption, and implementation of best practice policies in Project Management Governance.
Regularly review Quality Stage-Gate activities to ensure that there will be no/minimal gaps in defined Exit criteria. Conduct review to strategic, major projects as part of Governance.
Regularly reviews, assess, and revise the Enterprise Project Management Framework of the Bank and subsidiaries to maintain its effectiveness and efficiency.
Review Projects in terms of adherence to policies and implementing guidelines.
Provide support to the Directors and Officers of the Bank on governance issues including drafting Project Management methodology and guidance for banking projects
Participate in different boards, committees, and management discussions to provide guidance on project management practices and the progress of current projects.
Work with Segment and Unit Heads to ensure consideration of project interdependencies for Strategic, Major projects
Ensure that all programs and projects managed by EPMO will follow and effectively managed and follow standards: governance structure, communication, change management, and performance management.
Partner with the functional business and technology leaders on the implementation of program and project management processes, methods, techniques, tools, guidelines, and standards
Stay current on industry trends in the development of enterprise planning tools.
Collaborate with the Project Management Governance Head and escalate issues timely
Perform document reviews and monitors compliance with policies.
Prepare Enterprise Strategic Portfolio Dashboard for ECB, TTC, and other board/management reporting
Assess Training needs of the Bank including different Transformation and Project Management teams.
Conduct training on Enterprise Project Management Framework as deemed necessary
Stand as coach and/or advisor in the adoption of Project Management practices.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Finance/Accountancy/Banking, or any related courses
Have at least 8 years of experience in Banking, Credit Card Companies, Financial Technology/Fintech, Information Technology, IT Outsourcing Services/ITOS, Business Process Outsourcing/BPO
Job Specialization: Minimum requirement: Banking and Financial, Process Design & Control, Quality Assurance; Preferred exposure but not required: General/Cost Accounting, IT-Hardware, IT-Network/Sys/DB Admin, IT-Software, Human Resources
Requires leadership and negotiation skills and experience/in-depth knowledge of the business, business requirements analysis, and IT processes
Proven high performer with strong time management skills, ability to multitask, and highly organized
Knowledge in budget preparation, technical management, and understanding, analyzing information and problem solving, strategic planning, and quality management
Strong collaborator across various functional organizations to achieve a common goal
Ability to drive the timely resolution of identified problematic areas with other departments
Must be able to work independently
Proven ability to hold others accountable
Excellent problem identification, solving, critical thinking, and remediation skills
Ability to build a good team dynamic
Understanding of sound internal control activities, practices, processes
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project skills.
