POSITION PURPOSE:
Supporting Project Teams (Project Finance Manager, Commercial and other stakeholders) by verifying data to ensure projects comply with the WSP Project Accounting guidelines.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review Project setups within the ERP and ensure they adhere to the Project Accounting Guidelines. Ensure checks are in place for data integrity
Analyse Budgets on complex Multi-Disciplinary Projects to determine the correct action for Variations, Budget updates or the release of the next phase of work
Ensure compliance in accordance with the DOA on LGL-05 (Commencing work without a signed contract
Investigate any variances or issues that may arise on a project and resolve with relevant support from other business sections (e.g. working closely with PFAs, AP, AR, Procurement, HR and Payroll, Financial Systems group)
Provide weekly reporting on Project Exceptions (exceptions (not limited to): cost overruns, hard limits, costs but no budget, (aged) WIP (positive/negative), aged AR)
Review Multi-Disciplinary Project set up templates to ensure correct budget set ups, carveouts and WBS structure
Utilising UBW and Power BI to produce reports on a regular basis, analyse reports to ensure accuracy in project revenue recognition; problem solve variances/issues and provide recommendations to the Project Finance Manager or Commercial Team
Work towards project deadlines within company's financial timeframes
Ensure you stay up to date with the latest processes, policies, procedures and team updates by being an active member on the Project Finance Teams page
Adhere to the Project Accounting guidelines and other processes and procedures implemented across the PFA team
Complete relevant and mandatory training
Knowledge of IMS and WSP procedures and policies to educate self and others; provide training to new staff where required
REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree , Economics, Finance/Accountancy/Banking, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Commerce or equivalent.
Required language(s): English, Filipino
At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Preferably 1-4 Yrs Experienced Employees specializing in Finance - General/Cost Accounting or equivalent.
